if you mean should people fish for pike i would say yes it is how i got started
i have fished for pike at the forth and clyde where i got jack pike.caught a 11lb plus at loch tay while fishing for troot
every time me and my friends go to loch tay someone puts out dead bait for pike.most of the time we dont get anything but sometimes we get a pike or two like this(goto my thread in general chat"loch tay")not the biggest we have caught but still a good fish.

loch is always busy they come from all over the uk for the pike fishing.i heard that you can fish for pike at lake of mentieth during the winter.i know they have some really big pike in there.
