rod that is......one o ma rods is 9 1/2 ft and have another of 10 ft. i prefer the 9 1/2 ft rod, but i know folk that will only use 10 ft or bigger. what size rods do yous use boys. ?

9 1/2ft 7 wt for me neilson. Wouldnt mind a 10 footer for fishing larger waters mind !

9'6" for me 7/8 wt with a 8 wt line...what i started with ...tried a few rods but prefer my own size...it's an allrounder,,,does the job on the lochs but not obtrusive with a lighter weight on rivers

Depends on the venue,ive nae shortage of rods,although the more kit you have disnae make ye a better fisher only time on the water does that.I use a seven foot greys 4 wt for river fishing locally an a 9 foot 6 wt for fishing bigger rivers,i usually fish a 10 foot 7 wt enigma on the ponds but sometimes resort to a 10 ft 8 wt on bigger ponds or on windy days thats fur troot though fur the salmon i use a 9 foot 9 wt on the small rivers an a 15 foot 11 wt on the bigger rivers,throw in assorted odds an sods an ye have a rod for most occassions but tackle dealers will be glad to know not all!

9 foot 6 inch 7/ 8 Shimano for the fisheries 8 foot Airflo for da rivers with double tapper lines 4/5 3 piece wychwood 6/7 for da hill lochs.

10 foot greys grxi 7/8 but the wife says,size isnt important
