Hey all- Just stumbled onto your site as I was wandering around other fly fishing boards from the U.S. I've recently moved to Livingston, West Lothian and am really eager to learn more about fly fishing in Scotland. Planning to be here for up to two years. Any information, suggestions, links and so on would be greatly appreciated. I'm accustomed to fishing rivers and streams for Rainbow, Brown and Brook trout in the Northeast U.S., and will need to learn some new skills for loch fishing here . Looking forward to hearing from you. Ed

Plenty of good river fishing for trout to be had mate although this is mainly restricted to browns an seatrout;many of the same flys will probably do the business here-spiders do well as do adams an wulffs;;as for the rainbows thats quite a different prospect these are mainly fished for wi patterns referred to as lures as they resemble nothing your likely too see in the natural world but the bows seem to like them:give swanswater a go on the forum outing an im sure youll have fun, maybe learn some an definitely have your eyes opened to a new way of fishing.
