me and ma mates go worm (maggot)slingin tae loch tay, awe, ness, ect,we keep the rainbows we catch but if we catch a broonie we return them (most of the time) tae the loch tae fight another day. sometimes we do keep them, the biggest broonie i`ve caught was 6.3/4lb(at minight on flee bubble and maggot on loch awe)but if i had caught any more broonies after that fishy i would have put them back, tae keep the wild fish stocks, there seem tae be too many folk catchin and killin wild broonies just for the sake of catchin as much fish as they can get. so if you go fishin tae the lochs would you return most of the broonies you caught or would you keep them all?

Some of the fishing on the Lochs are needless and shocking. A rod License would soon stop some of the pish that go's on in this country. Quite a few Lochs have been wasted by these morons. Dead fish the size of your hand discarded because of the size and the handling of them is also a disgrace.

Dead fish the size of your hand discarded because of the size and the handling of them is also a disgrace. this topic came up yesterday at Burnhouse....so i'll put a flame under this Rainbows i keep...i eat fish Browns i kept if it was big enough from a loch but river browns i released...i don't know whats happening to these broonies these days but when i fished before..(back after a decade away) a 4 pound brown would have won every newspapers fish of the month and got me accolade from fellow fishers for years...i've ne'er caught a brown since i've been back but Jocks fish at a pound and a quarter would have been on it's way to my grill and yep...i've seen round the lochs these days and witnessed the rape of these waters by mindless morons...the degredation of the surrounding areas and the pollution...(noise and litter)...not to sure if a rod license is the way.... you'd need to sell me on that one

You are right John, the mess they leave behind them is a f***en disgrace and they have no intention of cleaning up behind them and the sad fact is it is the guys who clean up and never make a mess and are careful in returning there fish, who get the brunt of it from the anties who are trying to ban fishing now.

i agree put the size tae 12 inches as for the morons see loch awe thread in general chat. we put all the broonies back on saturday at loch awe and kept the rainbows. i think most folk put the broonies back at loch awe or you would not be getting those scottish records frae there?
