it was in one of our main newspapers today,it said he was fishing with his leg in a plaster cast. its a river you have to watch cos its something to do with hydro-electric and now and again they open the gates to let more water into the river, so the river gets higher and faster,so always keep an eye on the river level.

Stenhousemuir just down the road. Fikin sad just a young boy.
There seems to be quite a few deaths caused by high river water that is discharged by the hydro board. It is well known that we should check tides and weather but what chance do you have with surges of water discharged by the hydro board. Can you contact them if you intend to fish waters they discharge into and are there a list of waters / rivers that are known to people not familiar to the waters? Should this not be on the permits that the water can raise at any time? Don’t have a great deal of knowledge on the hydro water board on rivers they discharge into. but some can be found by searching but strange there is not a list of all with water warnings for anglers.
