Hi my name is Bill McMenemy I'm originally from Bonnybridge but now live on Skye. I've just started fly-fishing and I mainly fish the River Snizort. If you're a local you get to fish 8 miles of the Snizort for £35 a season. Any tips or advice for a newcomer would be most welcome.

Hello Scud and welcome. You need to get smaller rod rating for rivers for trout 4/5 should be about right with smaller flies down to 18s, 20s if you have good eye sight no like me or The Neilson. You are in a cracking part of the world now are you not. Flies red in colour seem to do well in your neck of the woods have a look on the web site at the lochs and wild fish pages at falkirktightlines.com
