just back frae a trip tae the river allan.and for the first time in FIVE years i have come home wae a fishy, got a phone call frae ma pal tae see if a wanted tae fish a couple o hours on the allan .by 7 o`clock we were on our way,got tae our usual bit at ashfield.the river was a bit high and really broon . we were fishin the worm, after about 40 mins caught a wee broonie that went back tae get bigger, was gettin more bites but they were just wee broonies.caught another broonie put back tae fight another day.we then moved doon the river a wee bit tae faster flowin water then on ma second cast, knock knock am intae a fish that gave a guid fight, it was a 2lb sea troot that i had tae kill cos it had the hook right doon (i would have returned the fish)and, if and when i catch my first salmon i will return that. so came home sore(ma gammy hip)but happy as a pig in siht. photo tae follow.

Well done Neilson still to break my duck on the Clyde. Josh and I were going to go down last night but we had a massive thunderstorm between 6 and 7 with torrential rain so that put paid to that idea. Forecast for next few days doesn't sound too good.
