went tae swanswater the day wae ma mate,would have liked tae have met shanksi when he was on holiday but not tae be.
got on the water at 9.00,i went tae jocks bit (at the bridge)not too many fish showin as it was a bit bright(sun cream time for me)moved tae the island after 1/2 an hour.floatin line wae buzzers not a nibble,tried lures,not a nibble.so went roond the corner tae the lillie pads,put on a olive fritz third cast i had a fish on the line that led me a merry dance, walkin on water jumpin ect tryin tae get intae the lillies.
after a guid wee stuggle got it in the net was a 2.1/2lb blue troot.
went tae a few places roond the water wae nae luck so went back tae the island.you could see the fish croosin up an doon the water blues,goldies,they would follow yer fly but then turn away.
tried a lot of flies dunkeld,buzzers,black pennels,bibio,dancers, all they did was follow and then turn away.
so one fishy for me no fishy for me mate.the day was sunny,cloudy,and breezy but still a guid day oot
