there could be a new record for a rod caught salmon,just read on cefax that a salmon had been caught on the river ness that was 50in long and has a 40in girth.it was a male fishy. it says the images and measurements are being sent to a fishery lab. it did not sat that they had received the fish.just hope they did not put the fish back,i dont think it counts as a record if they had put it back. how is mr crabtree goin jock

Neilson, As far as I know from reading the story on other forums the fish was returned but was only measured but not weighed so might not count for any record. There are photos on the FFF of the fish.
