just finished watching a french fishing programme on satellite.it was a fly fishing competition with a difference.
it was catch n release, no heaviest fish or heaviest bag here.
they caught there fish went to a referee who measured the fish that they caught(recorded it).so every time they caught a fish they would run to the ref(s) measure it,release it, then run back to start fishing for more fish.
no weighing of fish here.at the end of the comp they added up the length of all the fish you caught and the fisherman with the longest length(lol)won.
dont know if that happens here,just that i have never come across it before.
