PottingshawsA first time visit to Pottingshaws produced a good days fishing for all that attended Bobo, Wasp and myself. A fishery run by two fishermen near Whitburn, Stocked with Rainbow and Brown trout, with wild brown trout, pike and Perch also present. A seven acre water with four boats which are free on a first come first served option. A good water to fish and well worth a visit, the jack pike like the orange fritz so you have been warned. Caught 3 rainbow 2 pike and a Brown. Plenty wild life around and a good natural water with Black Gnats, PNTs, Buzzers and various wet flys doing the biz. Later on good dry fly sport with a few falling to green sedges, Fish stocked from pound and a half up to 16 pounders. If your in the area drop in your ticket starts when you start.
