Thanks Jock,I know shanski and Josh by internet anyway from flyforums (sorry didn't know you had a forum)I am keen on becoming involved in competitions not too serious enjoy the banter etc and have had loads of trouble finding a club to join.Do I need to be proposed or pay membership or anything to take part in the meets?
I come from Maddiston near Falkirk many of you I'm sure will know it.I used to be a decent runner where I was lucky enough to represent Scotland a few times on the roads and in x-country,so I enjoy the competitive side of things but in a friendly way,winning is not my be all and end all but it is nice when you do.I work as an ambulance paramedic based in Falkirk for 18 yrs,formally I was a welder with Smith of Maddiston,much better job now!!! I am some would say the wrong side of 40 but I feel the same as I was 21,just not as fit Lol.Looking forward to joining in the banter thanks for the welcome.

Nothing too drastic and nothing on fees set as yet, There is a few comps during the season but a think we are going to revamp a few of them, I think need to speak to the chairman before committing on anything as yet but the doubles will run as normal. Hoping to have our prize giving on last Friday in May or June 1st a Friday night at the NBSC for last year.
A bit late this year, due to other commitments, the start of the comps will maybe kick off at Burnhouse, need to wait and see but your points will be added for fish caught at this outing.
