Watendlath Trout FisheryThe water is in a pictures setting in the Hills in Keswick and at £17 for four fish and then catch and release superb value for money. Meet up with Damsel, Caddie and D40 from the Game angler site top people by the way. Tried out various flies while my companies for the day were finding fish and doing well to the annoyance of some guy in a boat who tried to get into there fishing area. The entire loch to fish and he picks the bit in front of two fishers who were catching fish. Pure ignorence or what. Any way Caddie then told me to try a single fly and then I was into my first fish, Cheers to Caddie. Later on I saw a Daddy skip along the water and changed to suit and then had a wonderful day’s sport bagging up and missing a right few on the dry fly. Overall well worth the 300 mile trip and will return at some point in the future. Spent a coupe days in Keswick. The day had an international flavour with England, Wales and Scotland represented on the water with all getting there limit including a dog that stole one of Damsels fish. Another one to beware, you need a parking ticket; I thought Caddie was having a laugh no. Imagine a parking ticket to Park up in the Hills would not fancy the Wardens job tramping up and down that hill every day to check for illegally parked motors. A place well worth the visit. A Cracking Place to stay www.larryslodge.co.uk/ when you visit Keswick or the lake districtgameangler.co.uk/falkirktightlines.bravehost.com/
