Devon Angling Association River Devon & Glen Quey Reservoir R Breingan 33 Redwell Place, Alloa, Clackmannanshire FK10 2BT 01259 21389 the weather was fantastic but not having transport was a pain...i know a few stretches of the Devon that are great to fish but to move between them a car is required.......so i opted for public transport...which limited my stretch of water i fished the un-permitted stretch(permits for brown, seatrout and salmon are required from Tillicoultry upwards) which lies parallel to Alva through to Menstrie with HMP Glenochill in plain view for the most part i fished a dry march brown for the most part and caught many small broonies about 5 to 7 inch but failed to see anything bigger..(should have bought a permit and gone North of Dollar) i only saw one other angler who informed me that the stretch we were fishing is plagued by kids during the holidays and further up at Tillicoultry Bridge would be better where the water level is lower...clearer and runs over pebbles...i didn't press as to why he was fishing here then good fun...but none to bring home....i need to bring the bike out of retirement and get further up
