River Carron Have posted the photos from Langlees to Stoneywood on the web site on this link 82.110.105.82/falkirktightlines.com/albumviews.0.htmlA lot of path destruction and the litter, plastic bags and rubbish along the river is a nightmare. Wild life is down with little sign of the Herons and Kingfishers. The bridge is away at Fankerton and it Looks like the papermill dam is gone as well. Extensive path work repairs required by Bobo and Bubble.

Aye its going to take a bit more than some pathlaying to restore the river to something of its former self although there is a need for this to be looked into--unfortunately the paths are only aesthetic an a determined fisher will get to the water no matter the state of the paths-the main problems seem to be the loss of the pools an the fallen trees that need removed from all along the river an the loss of fish that has no doubt resulted from the high water-trout prospects could be badly affected this year unless extra stocking is done and at more places than normal-salmon prospects shouldnae be too bad for next couple o years but could be down in the 3-5 year term wi subsequent knock on effect in years thereafter.

the Carron will reclaim what's hers....there has been many changes since i was a lad....way back then all we can do is help her to former states of glory and attempt to prevent further decline.....the effluent is the responsibilty of S.E.P.A and other agencies but as for litter and general degradation we need to speak up one voice is but a fart in the wind...but together we can kick ass and plug it with a cork

The litter on the water is shocking and the fact we had a water with Salmon and sea trout runs being devastated by the flood was bad enough but the dumb dumpers and litter louts are turning our countryside and rivers into a shitehouse but then again how many shitehouses do you see in this state. With spring round the corner the follage will hide most of this mess but that's not the point these arseholes will have more chance to hide there crap. Why fine them make them clear a five mile stretch of the river that will sort the bastards out.

The Bubble is going out soon to fix the paths but needs a permit to take his digger into the water. Don't think he is allowed to fish with it but.
