Should we have rod licenses in Scotland? What’s your view, Good or bad? It might stop the arseholes that have messed up fishing the lochs within the central region, was speaking to an auld guy who had permit on the Earn but gave it up because of the hassle. Now if paying £25 - £40 a year. Keeps these Muppets off the water am all for it. Lets face it if they are going for there booze and wreaking spree, they might think twice before hitting the lochs if they all have to pay the license fee as well as the permit. I would only allow day or weekly licences to non Nationals on holiday with a passport. What’s your opinion?

Well,it aw depends wot you is actually getting fur yer money?am no sure that a sum as trivial as £40 a year will be enough to deter aw the di**heads fae fishing a mean the pubs is full o them an look at how much beer costs !it disnae seem to put them off any,if they were to be enforced on us a widnae restrict their duration or that as that wid just make it more difficult for the casual angler who just wants to have a bash an i widnae want to restrict anglers fae indulging in the art.

Now there was a statment from a man who loves to see arseholes on the water in the summer. ;D Look Neilson don't hold back. They might have them fish finders with them, now do they not cause global warming, ;D Would it not be better if a brain finder had been invented for these morons. Am no talking about the guys that have a beer or two have indulged me self on the Lochs but don't leave a disaster zone behind me. Want a fire take some coal, Taking a bin bag with you is no hard or expensive hing to do, and leave the auld guys and gals alone.

Not in favor of a rod license but the bailiffs should be throwing these people off the water, not turning a blind eye then harassing some poor guy who was up too early to get a permit out a shop, and had every intention of paying the first bailiff that appears.

i think a rod licence would be a good idea but it would never be policed in scotland. As for loch earn.the ballifs are only interested in getting the money in for permits to pay their wages.if they were interested in stopping whats happening at the earn they would have done it by now. Protection order? what a joke!!!
