A fine bit of predicting from Mr. Kasta at 10 this morning but did he visit Mr. Hill with a fiver to carry a wad away from the turf accountant. A just have to say what a sorry display from the Easterners, Looks like some have got there minds on other things and some have not kick a ball in anger since the defeat against AC Milan. A bunch of tourists on a day out, sum’s up the Govan men’s opponents today. Gordon Strachan put the message across that summed up this dismal performance we played like it was a testimonial match. I and going by the way wee Gordon deals with such performances it probably was a testimonial game for some. Rumour has it big Beattie is on the way from Everton in the close season along with Brown from Hibernian and it looks like curtains for the Magic Pole the Dutchman and Wee Kenny Miller, There midfield will take a new shape next season as the Big Dane will be going out the door along with wee Lenny. The news of Beattie coming from Everton might signal the way for the Beattie at Celtic park to move to Westfield for a season. The most telling thing is if, had anything been at stake today do you really think the Govan all stars would have been up to the test, Now am no mystic Meg but a think the result would have been a wee bit different today. Well done to Wattie and Sally on rejuvenating the Govan Bears but the real work for them starts next season when they have to play against a team on level pegging. Now for some real football talk the Bairns bounced back to consolidate seventh place with the Saints beating Dundee United a bad result for the Fifers as they now have to go and beat Motherwell on Monday in another do or die scrap.
