Mij, You'll be surprised to hear it's only about a mile upstream from Dalmarnock. It's below the Hoover factory in Cambuslang, the photo Clyde 2 is taken from the bridge over the river and the others were taken from the bank. You could certainly wade parts of this stretch altho other bits are quite deep. Not too sure of the depth but think it goes between three or four feet to about nine or ten. The biggest problem is that the bank is very overgrown and full of jaggy nettles. Still not managed a catch yet but will keep trying, just like being out in the fresh air and getting some exercise after sitting in the office all day.

It certainly does look like a good fishy bit of water shanksi and i certainly am surprised its so close to Dalmarnock-canny believe all the weed when i worked oot there all the weeds either lived in or was smoked in Dalmarnock.

Thanks Jock, wasn't sure how to post the photos on site. You'll need to give me some lessons.

You should just have to press the image button on your photobucket page and it copies the url for you mate then paste it in a thread.

Josh and I thought we would go down on Friday for a look at the river as we've never fished it at night before. What a change in a week. The weeds before you get to the river are now over seven feet tall and almost impassable, certainly don't fancy trying to walk with your rod up, the line will always be getting caught. The river itself was up a good three feet from last week and most of the places we had fished from were under water. Going to contact one of the guys in the club for suggestions of where to fish. Posted on another forum about places to fish on the Clyde and unfortunately most of the ones suggested you need to wade and Josh is not ready to do any wading. They did say to try the Avon so might give that a try. On holiday from 16th July for two weeks so will try to get out a couple of times. Need to arrange another forum day, may we'll maybe able to make this one. shanksi
