went away at the weekend tae loch awe wae a few o ma mates.got there about 1 o`clock, was sunny tae start with not a lot of fish caught just wee broonies that got put back.a couple o rainbows that got cooked (fishermen are to kill all rainbows caught to help the broonies survive)
got a wee bit windy later on and a wee bit colder.then a bell went a rod bent and a good fish was on that gave a good fight, the time came to land the fish,net under the fish,fish in net,almost onto the bank,net snapped(cheap net)hook came out fish,the fish half in half out of the water,PANIC,two pairs of hands tryin to get the fish on the bank with luck on our side we got it on the bank a 4.1/2 lb full finned rainbow.
not much action after that a few more wee fish caught and put back not rainbows tho.
the balif came to check if we had our permits(which we had)stayed for a chat then went on his way.
stayed at the fire all night till morning,lost a good fish at about 6 in the morning, just my luck.still another guid weekend
