going to loch awe for our first worm slingin outin of the season on sat 18th(not been out fly fishin yet hips a tad sair at the mo).
hope the weather will be fine,know the company will be, as always.will tell all next week how it all went,mabe some pis as well.

dont know if anybody will read this as theres not been any post on here for a long time.
well we left a dull falkirk and got to a sunny loch awe about 1sh got to our usual bit and set up our rods.about an hour later the first fishy was on the bank a 1lb1/2 broonie(we put the broonies back) but this one was bleedin so we had to hit this one on the head.1/2 an hour later a 2lb rainbow was in the net that was kept(all rainbows are to be kept the ballif told us)
there were times when the water went a flat calm,but most of the time there was a good ripple on the water.
the ballif came to check our permits and as usual stayed and chated for ten or so mins.caught a few more fish during the day byt nothing big.it was gettin dark so we put the fire on(our own wood)had somethin to eat n drink (beer).
about 10oclock the fishin took a back seat as everyone was out lookin up at the stars,we have been fishin loch awe for the last 30 odd years and have never seen so many stars out it was like being at the planatarium.no clouds just stars everywhere,even seen a few satellites go by and a few shootin stars just brilliant.
about 2.30 in the very cold morning i reeled in a 2.1/2lb ranbow(everybody had went to there tents)my hands were fekin frozen tryin to rebait the hook.was glad to get back to the fire to warm up.
got a couple o more fish about 7 in the morning started packin up about 8.30 with about 10-12 fish caught.me i lost 2 good fish and left with no fishy.
still a good weekend with me pals.
