I was talking to someone who caught a small (undersize) rainbow on the Carron and they said killed it because it eats fish eggs and parr. Is this the done thing, even though it was an immature fish?

i dont know about the carron, but when we fish loch awe or loch tay we kill all rainbows.we got told by the baliffs that come and check our permits to kill all rainbows. they do eat the eggs and small fish of the wild brownies.dont know if that helps.
