if you mean should people fish for pike i would say yes it is how i got started i have fished for pike at the forth and clyde where i got jack pike.caught a 11lb plus at loch tay while fishing for troot every time me and my friends go to loch tay someone puts out dead bait for pike.most of the time we dont get anything but sometimes we get a pike or two like this(goto my thread in general chat"loch tay")not the biggest we have caught but still a good fish.

where do you fish for pike?i know loch awe and loch lomond are good place for pike fishing. the pike i caught at loch tay took me 45mins to land my arms were sore at the end.it put up a great fight but would not want to hook to many of those in a days fishing.

loch is always busy they come from all over the uk for the pike fishing.i heard that you can fish for pike at lake of mentieth during the winter.i know they have some really big pike in there. that 20lb pike must have given you a good fight.

from what i beleive you can only fish it if you are a member of the pike angling association of scotland who get permission but joe public cant get on it unfortunatly
yes it was quite a fight my arm was sore for 3 days after it lol but it was well worth it
